Welcome to the website of EHEF Bangkok !

The European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) took place from 11th to 12th of November 2006 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The EHEF was part of the 3rd OCSC International Education Expo.

The fair was open to the public on both days from 10:00-18:00 and attracted more than 31 000 visitors (official figures provided by the Office of the Civil Service Commission, OCSC).

The EHEF was financed by the European Union’s Asia-Link Programme. The event provided a platform for representatives of EU Member States and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to inform fair visitors about higher education opportunities in the 21 European countries represented during the Fair.

112 Higher Education Institutions and national representations presented their study programmes and provided information on enrolment procedures, language requirements, living conditions and related issues. Tailor-made programmes conducted in English for international students were highlighted. The European Commission also had a booth at the event and provided information on studying in Europe.

Apart from information booths where visitors were able to collect relevant information from representatives of the participating institutions, presentations were also made where students could find out more about study opportunities and scholarship programmes, including the European Commission's Erasmus Mundus programme and its Masters Courses.

The EHEF's mainly attracted students and young professionals interested in studying abroad and their parents, study advisors and sponsors. Many students had already have completed a first academic degree at home and were looking for a course leading to a postgraduate degree.
